Because Shea butter’s moisturizing and healing properties get significantly reduced or completely removed in the refining process, which can often include bleaching and deodorizing. Just to make it softer, whiter & odorless.

Our Shea butter is 100% natural and free from preservatives, chemical fragrances and additives. It is sustainably produced and is traditionally handcrafted from start to finish. From Ghana with pure love.

Our Shea butter is mostly produced by widows. These are the women who are in the most difficult economic situation. It is not easy to raise kids, while your income comes mostly from growing corn and millet and selling it in local market. That is why every woman in our collective is hoping that soon our production is so big that the factory will run full time and we need more women!
